Workshops
Wild Rise workshops are about learning a traditional craft through doing, in great company.
What We Offer
Our workshops centre on sourdough bread baking, offering a welcoming entry point for beginners, while also giving more seasoned bakers space to refine and deepen their practice. The focus is practical, hands-on learning in a relaxed, social setting, where questions are encouraged, and perfection isn’t the goal.
Workshops typically take place in warm, home-style or intimate community spaces, where people gather around a table to bake, share food, laugh, and connect. It’s about slowing down, honouring a timeless skill, and rediscovering the joy of making something real together.
WHAT TO EXPECTEach workshop is a 3 hour, hands-on experience designed to build real understanding and confidence
Together we mix, fold, and shape dough, while talking through ingredients, equipment, fermentation, and temperature along the way. You’ll see and feel each stage of the process, ask questions as they arise, and learn in a supportive, relaxed environment. You’ll also create your own starter to take home, and enjoy breads and spreads along the way. The experience is immersive without being overwhelming, so you leave feeling capable and excited to repeat the process at home with knowledge that actually sticks.
WHO IS IT FORThese workshops are for curious beginners, returning bakers, and anyone drawn to learning a traditional skill in a relaxed, social setting.
You’ll feel at home if you enjoy hands-on learning, asking questions, laughing while you learn, and sharing food with others. No perfection required just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to get your hands doughy.
